1. Introduction

LaunchLens: Activity Launcher ("LaunchLens", "the application", "we") is an Android utility developed by Alexa Modding Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchLens handles information in connection with the application.

This policy applies specifically to LaunchLens. Third-party services integrated into LaunchLens, including advertising and consent frameworks, operate under their own privacy practices. Users should review the applicable policies of those services for additional information.

The purpose of this policy is to provide transparency regarding the application's data handling. This document does not constitute legal certification or guarantee of compliance with every privacy law.

2. Information Categories

LaunchLens distinguishes between three categories of information:

  • Information handled locally by LaunchLens — Workspace data stored in app-private storage on the user's device.
  • Information processed by third-party services — Data processed by integrated advertising and consent services.
  • Information not collected by LaunchLens's own application code — Personal identifiers such as names, emails, contacts, or account credentials are not collected by LaunchLens's own application logic.

3. Local Workspace Data

LaunchLens uses the Room Persistence Library with the database launch-lens.db and Preferences DataStore for application settings. Local workspace information may include:

  • Favorites
  • Activity history
  • Saved searches
  • Shortcut presets
  • Application preferences/settings

Local Workspace

Workspace information is stored locally in app-private storage according to the current implementation. LaunchLens does not operate a developer-controlled cloud database for this workspace information.

This information remains on the user's Android device. LaunchLens does not transmit this workspace data to developer-operated servers. Android system-level backup behavior is governed by the application's backup configuration and device settings.

4. Personal Information

LaunchLens's own application logic does not require users to provide a name, email address, telephone number, contacts, or account credentials. The support email address belongs to the developer and is provided for support and privacy inquiries. If a user voluntarily contacts the developer by email, the information contained in that communication may be processed to respond to the request.

5. Account Information

LaunchLens does not provide user account creation or sign-in functionality. No LaunchLens account is created, no LaunchLens account database exists, and no account password is stored. There is no account deletion workflow because there is no account system.

6. Google Mobile Ads

LaunchLens uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising. According to Google's current Android Mobile Ads SDK disclosure, the SDK may process information such as IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics related to advertising services, and fraud prevention. These processing activities are associated with the integrated third-party advertising SDK and are not performed directly by Alexa Modding Solutions's own application logic. Network communications used by the SDK are expected to use secure transport according to Google's implementation. For more information, see Google's privacy documentation.

Third-Party Advertising

Google Mobile Ads may process certain device, interaction, diagnostic, and identifier information. This is distinct from LaunchLens's own local workspace data.

7. Privacy & Advertising Consent

LaunchLens uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present and manage applicable privacy and advertising consent choices. Depending on the user's location and applicable requirements, the application may present consent/privacy choices related to advertising. Users can make applicable choices through the consent interface. UMP is a consent and privacy messaging framework; this policy does not claim universal GDPR or CCPA compliance or make legal conclusions beyond the technical implementation.

8. Third-Party Services

ServicePurposeRelationship
Google Mobile Ads SDKAdvertising and related ad servicesThird-party SDK
Google User Messaging PlatformPrivacy/advertising consent managementThird-party SDK

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Users should review the applicable Google policies for additional information. LaunchLens does not integrate Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, Mixpanel, or other analytics or backend services identified in the application audit.

9. Network Communication

LaunchLens uses network access in connection with integrated advertising and privacy/consent services. The audited application requests the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions. LaunchLens does not upload local workspace data to developer-operated servers. No developer-operated backend or cloud synchronization was identified in the application audit.

10. Security

Network communications used by applicable third-party services are expected to use secure transport according to their implementations and the application's network configuration. Workspace data is stored in app-private Android storage. No claim is made that the application is "military-grade," "100% secure," or free of all security risk. Security practices are subject to the limitations of Android and third-party SDK implementations.

11. Android Permissions

PermissionPurpose
INTERNETNetwork connectivity required by integrated advertising and consent services
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEAllows relevant network/service components to determine network connectivity

The audited LaunchLens application does not request Location, Camera, Contacts, Microphone, or Photos/media runtime permissions. No dangerous runtime permissions are requested according to the application audit.

12. Package Visibility

Android package visibility is limited. The audited manifest uses a targeted <queries> configuration for MAIN/LAUNCHER activities. This allows LaunchLens to discover supported launchable activities without claiming unrestricted visibility into every package on the device. LaunchLens does not scan all installed apps or access every hidden activity.

13. Activity Data

LaunchLens may display information about activities/components exposed through Android's package/activity mechanisms. Availability depends on Android, the target application, and OEM restrictions. Some activities may be exported or restricted. Application updates can change activity availability. LaunchLens cannot guarantee access to every activity on every device.

14. Backup

LaunchLens includes backup_rules.xml and data_extraction_rules.xml. The audited rules specify that workspace database/settings may be included while cache and temporary custom icon files are excluded. Backup behavior is subject to Android/device settings and OEM implementation. No claim is made that Google or any system-level backup never processes application data.

15. Data Retention

Local LaunchLens data: Workspace data remains on the user's device until the user removes it or removes/clears the application according to available Android/application controls.

Third-party advertising data: Retention and deletion of data processed by Google services are governed by applicable Google policies and controls. Alexa Modding Solutions does not control retention of Google advertising records.

16. Data Deletion

Because there is no account system, account deletion is not applicable. Users can delete individual history/workspace records where the app provides such controls, clear application data through Android settings, or uninstall LaunchLens. Uninstalling removes application data managed by the application, subject to Android/device behavior and any separately retained third-party information. For Google advertising data, users should use Google's applicable privacy/ad controls.

17. Children

LaunchLens is a general Android utility and is not specifically directed at children. Alexa Modding Solutions does not knowingly use LaunchLens to collect personal information directly from children. No claim is made that LaunchLens is "COPPA certified" or "safe for children" unless separately verified.

18. International Users

Users may access LaunchLens from different countries, and privacy laws may provide different rights. We aim to maintain transparent privacy practices and update this policy when the application's data practices change. This policy does not claim formal compliance with every privacy law in every jurisdiction.

19. Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, objection/restriction, and consent withdrawal where applicable. For questions or privacy requests, contact alexamoddingsolutions@gmail.com. Rights relating to Google advertising services may need to be exercised through Google's own privacy controls.

20. US State Privacy Rights

Applicable state privacy laws may provide rights depending on the user's location and whether the law applies. For LaunchLens's own application data, the developer does not operate a cloud account database for user workspace data. For third-party advertising disclosures, the policy is consistent with Google's current SDK disclosure. The developer remains responsible for the final Data Safety declaration in Google Play Console.

21. Policy Changes

The Privacy Policy may be updated when the application changes, SDKs change, advertising services change, data practices change, or legal requirements change. Last Updated: August 2026
