This Privacy Policy explains how Alexa Modding Solutions, through its development team AlexaMods Lab, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the GPS Speedometer Live mobile application. We built this app to give you accurate, real‑time speed and trip data while being transparent about exactly what information is involved and why.

1Introduction

Alexa Modding Solutions ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This document applies to the GPS Speedometer Live application ("the App"), developed by AlexaMods Lab and distributed via Google Play. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

This policy is written to be clear and specific about what data the App interacts with, why it does so, and what it does not do. If any term here conflicts with the App's actual behavior, please contact us so we can correct it.

2About GPS Speedometer Live

GPS Speedometer Live is a navigation utility application that uses your device's GPS to display real-time speed, distance traveled, and trip statistics. It is designed as a companion tool for drivers, cyclists, and anyone who wants live, on-device speed and trip information without relying on a vehicle's built-in instrumentation.

3Information We Collect

The App interacts with the following categories of information in order to function:

  • GPS Location: Used to calculate real-time speed, distance, and trip data. Location is processed primarily on your device.
  • Device Information: Basic technical details such as device model, operating system version, and screen configuration, used to ensure the App renders and performs correctly.
  • App Version: The version of the App installed, used to support compatibility and updates.
  • Crash Diagnostics: Automated crash reports that help us identify and fix stability issues.
  • Performance Diagnostics: Technical performance data (such as load times and error rates) used to improve the App's reliability.

We do not collect the following:

4Permissions

The App requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Required to obtain precise GPS coordinates so the App can calculate accurate real-time speed, distance, and trip data.

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Used as a fallback location source and to help the device establish a location fix more quickly in some conditions.

INTERNET

Allows the App to load maps (where applicable), display advertisements, and send diagnostic data such as crash reports.

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

Lets the App check network connectivity status so it can adjust behavior appropriately when offline or online.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS Android 13+

Used to show trip-related or app-related notifications to the user on Android 13 and above, where this permission is required by the operating system.

The App does not request permissions for contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, microphone, storage of personal media, or any other permission beyond those listed above.

5How Information Is Used

Information collected by the App is used for the following purposes:

  • Calculating GPS speed
  • Measuring distance traveled
  • Trip recording
  • Generating trip statistics
  • Voice announcements during use
  • General app improvement
  • Diagnosing and fixing bugs
  • Displaying advertising

6Advertising

GPS Speedometer Live uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may use advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and other technical data to serve and measure ads, and to help limit how often you see the same ad.

Advertising served through AdMob is governed by Google's own privacy practices. You can review how Google collects and uses data in connection with advertising by reading the Google Privacy Policy.

7Google Play Services

The App may rely on Google Play Services for functionality such as location services and app updates. Google Play Services operates under Google's own privacy policy, and its use is subject to the permissions and settings available on your device through your Google account and system settings.

8Data Storage

Trip history, trip statistics, and app settings are stored locally on your device unless this Privacy Policy states otherwise. We do not maintain a central server database of your personal trip history. Uninstalling the App or clearing its local app data will remove this locally stored information from your device.

9Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

Information is only shared in the following circumstances: when required by law or a valid legal process, or with service providers (such as advertising and diagnostics providers like Google AdMob and Google Play Services) that are necessary for the App's core functionality to operate correctly.

10Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by the App from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11Children's Privacy

GPS Speedometer Live is not intended for use by children under the applicable minimum age required by their local laws and Google Play policies. We do not knowingly direct the App toward children or knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.

12User Rights

As a user of GPS Speedometer Live, you can:

  • Control app permissions at any time through your device's system settings.
  • Delete locally stored trip data and settings by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
  • Uninstall the App at any time to stop all data collection associated with it.
  • Contact our support team with any privacy questions, requests, or concerns.

13GPS Accuracy Disclaimer

GPS-based readings displayed by the App are estimates and depend on a number of external factors, including:

  • Device hardware and GPS chipset quality
  • Satellite signal availability and geometry
  • Weather conditions
  • Nearby buildings
  • Tree cover
  • Tunnels and other signal-obstructing structures

Because of these factors, speed and distance readings may vary from your vehicle's actual instrumentation and should be treated as estimates rather than certified measurements.

14Safe Driving Notice

Never operate your phone while driving. Always obey all applicable traffic laws and regulations. Where appropriate, use the App's heads-up display or voice announcement features instead of looking at or handling your device while the vehicle is in motion.

15Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob — for displaying in-app advertising.
  • Google Play Services — for supporting core device and app functionality.
  • Google Maps — where used within the App, to display map-based information.

Each of these services operates under its own respective privacy policy, in addition to this document.

16Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or our data practices. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
